The Main Apps I’m Using in 2025

As we head into 2025, and my spouse and I enter a new phase of life with a newborn, I’m making an assessment of the apps I use to assist me running my life. Here’s what I’m currently working with.

Grocery lists: AnyList

Before I got married I had used Todoist for my shopping lists, but Spouse and I quickly found this app to be much more suited to our needs. It’s cross-platform, available on mobile and web, can shared with others, is connected to our Alexa (so we can ask the AI to add things to the list for us), and I also use it for my packing lists when we take weekend trips. I can label things by store, I can put the prices in if I want, and if you subscribe to a delivery service you can connect your list to that app and complete your online order. (Not something I thought much about before, but with a new baby this seems very helpful!) In addition, when I find a recipe online I want to try, I can easily import it and then add the needed ingredients to my shopping list, and plan to have the meal on a certain day with the meal…
