Trying Out the Amie App

I’m trying hard to not “app hop” every time I find a new and flashy app that’s supposed to enhance my productivity. Once you have a routine that works for you, you really should kick back and let it do the heavy lifting, but the Evernote price hike continues to give me sticker shock, and I think that’s affected my relationship to my other productivity apps.

Amie is an app I heard about awhile back, and decided to try again more recently. What appeals to me about it is how they want to integrate calendar and tasks and email together, and add in Spotify and Apple Health so more data can be collected and viewed on that calendar. After including it in my setup for a few weeks, here’s what I’m thinking about it:

Tasks

I could sync my Todoist into the app (I always appreciate it if I can do that), and I limited it to just two of my projects since I have a lot of tasks. I could drop in time blocks for certain tasks, and I loved being able to see a full rundown of my day! However, Amie isn’t currently able to handle repeat tasks, even natively, and when I…
